I think I found Franklin
« on: July 12, 2010, 09:51:24 PM »
I recieved this email over the weekend when we were at El Mirage:

Hey I thought you might want to see this since you all at the SCTA-BNI are all worried about flip over. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Fdrqm0UMEU

I think that you all are just scared that a snowmobile will show up you piles of junk that go down the race track. As a tech official at a race association half the crap that went down the track at last years boniville race would never gone down my track. You tech is a joke and your world records are a joke. Far as you fear of flip over your all chicken shits what about the flip over rate and spin outs that you have with cars. No wonder anyone could ever get a record done in a race you take 2 hours between each run.

I didn't watch the video, afraid of virus. Am I too close to the race tree and can't see that our sport is not revelant?

I had a look
No virus on youtube

So when the track comes off, how do you stop?
If it was Franklin there would be a propeller.

Boy, some people sure have a lot of spare time on their hands. I also didn't open it up, just got a virus the other day on Google, now I am afraid to open anything.

I opened it with no issues. I think it's probably the snowmobile guys who were on the Salt last year. It's more or less a promotional documentary without the promotion.

I just watched the video. That thing only ran a 179 and was falling apart. Thats about 25-30 MPH too slow.

The guy says he runs that race track. Doesn't look too safe to me.

"You tech is a joke and your world records are a joke".

Dan, I've got $5.00 and a jar of pickles that says if the rules allowed it, and if he had the chance to race this contraption in a SCTA/BNI event, and was able to claim a record, he'd be all over the internet with a photo of his time slip, claiming  "World Record Holding . . . whateverthehellthisthingis."
