Lot of people use bodies from here: http://www.poli-form.com/index.html

Poli-Form is up by Chico CA now and not in Watsonville CA as listed on the web site.  Tony

There a 1/2 dozen or more listed when doing a search. One was listed as having stock measurments,

After watching in impounds I've learned not to set one one a set of rails and call it good. Get some measurments off one that is legal. It's usually because someone "pinches" the front at the cowl area or under the doors. I do not know the correct measurments others may chime in.

If possible find a stock 26/27 and take some meausrments and photograph yourself doing it. A good thing to keep in your log book. I seen 2 record setters thrown out of impounds. They were made "right" and went on to set records........Good Luck

Thanks for the info guys.  I have contacted the above and will see what they have.  I have not turned up much otherwise.  Everything I found was for street rodding, and not racing.

If anyone else knows a good supplier, chime in!

Thanks again!

R U sure Poliform doesn't have a race type body? They build quality stuff.

For sure I'd try to find a production body and make pertinent templates / photos as Jimmy Six posted.

There's at least one or two out there that worry the Roadster tech guys.

My pal Ken Kelley bought an already much-raced '27 Modified Roadster and was DQ'd after setting a record.
(He later fixed things and got the record).

Glad you aren't going Street Roadster.

The Roadster Committee has a measurement sheet with tolerances that they use to determine legality of '26-27 roadster bodies. Contact the committee chairman and request one. I used a body from RodnRace in WVA on our current (record setting) RMR. May be less $ if you want delivery east of the big river.   vic

There is a thread called "Roadster Measurements", in which we discuss roadster measurements.  It has helpful information.  Go to it as it has some specific information that will answer your questions.  I run in the D/STR Class with mine.....Bill

or just contact the roadster chair in the rule book or ask for the info on the tech question line for the specs.

Or maybe our roadster watchdog will chime in....
